That's sad. Hope he finds his way home soon. :(

Oh, not to worry, he did.

Initially we found him galloping around the pool area, so we grabbed him up. We called the #'s on his tags, and while waiting for calls back from vets & such, I took him for a walk (with a leash) to see if he'd "take me home". None such luck. This dog was kind of stupid. Cute, but stupid. His name is Sneakers. I wandered around the neighborhood, and when he seemed the least bit interested in a house, I'd try the door, but it seems no one in my neighborhood is home at noon on a Thursday. Two little Spanish girls answered the door at one house (I know they were Spanish because they would randomly slip back & forth between Spanish and English while talking to me)...the one couldn't determine if this was indeed her dog or not, the other believed it belonged to a family across the street. Being sick, I got bored with their schtick and snuck away from them ASAP.

The vet finally called back with Sneakers' actual address & my sister drove him over there. His owners had some visitors in from California who accidentally let him out. And never bothered to come look for him.

Yay for Sneakers. Boo for dummies from California. I'd give them the boot asap. That was nice of you guys to get him home.

Would you have kept him? If you could have? :)

The last summer I stayed at home home during college, I managed to make like $200 bucks finding lost animals.

Ah, a new oef definition...

"Find lost animals" = being chased by large expensive left unattended dogs while trying to go jogging.

This dog reminds me of Animal from the muppet show..or a really blurry Janice.
