I'm more than willing to bet that some of the peeps in this picture are the same ones that started the fwd.'s about the "true meaning of xmas" and the war upon said holiday.

I personally never thought the "True Meaning" was jeopardized. The only thing different in between this Christmas and the holidays of yesteryear was that I got older and broker.

I love the lights, the parades, the nativity scenes, the narrow potential for snow, the food, and whatever presents I get the same as I loved them when I was 9.

The store in question is ShopRite. I totally procrastinated shopping for the Xmas Eve Nachos I was to prepare for the good nurses & other healthcare professionals that had to work that night.

Christmas was awesome when I was a little kid. Most of my family lived in close geographic proximity and there were lots of cousins & kids. The adults would party it up with cheap wine and everyone would stay up late. I liked to sit at the table while the grown-ups bullshitted and told the same stories over and over, and would break into song, and argue over trivial pursuit questions and who made better spaghetti sauce.

Nowadays, it's just me and my brother Butch to critique big bro Brian's meatballs in secret in the kitchen because Brian can't handle our honesty; then hours of Wii, before someone gets all drunk and professor-like and everyone rolls their eyes.

Kinda sad.
