I love how Valentine's Day has now become the day for people to bitch about how much they hate the idea of a day about pointless gift giving. Don't get me wrong, I think it is an unecessary "holiday." To me its just my mom's birthday.
But this guy in my office came in yesterday, stomping around complaining about how much he hates it because the long lines at the drugstore are created by people buying last minute boxes of candy, and how if he wants to give his wife candy or flowers he will do it some other day, when he actually wants to do it(something I heard lots o'people saying yesterday, over and over)But I'd bet you he never does.
I'd rather skip Christmas. Talk about a hallmark holiday. Talk about huge lines at the stores. And the stress of trying to find thoughtful gifts for ten people.....eesh. Keep it!
Ooops, not to suggest that you were complaining Leslie, cause the picture is funny! I was going to post about it yesterday, but I was too busy on the account of everybody but myself and one other co-worker stayed home yesterday cause it snowed a little bit.
That guy sounds like a loser. And I bet that you are right, he probably sees no reason in buying his wife gifts any day of the year, and just feels bad because the other men are at least trying to participate. The fact of the matter is regardless of who you love, you should be trying to show that stuff everyday in the first place.
LOL..Chocolate really is half off the day after. You can get the good stuff for like 50 cents a box at Wal-greens. Gurl - I'm going to get me some now. Yummy.
